My First Holiday Giveaway!

I AM SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW!  You have all been so patient with me lately, because I haven’t posted for a whole month!  I have been extremely busy with the end of school, finals, and everything else I had to do!  But!  Don’t fear…the waiting was worth it!  I am now hosting my first holiday giveaway!  Yay!

Tina at Pomegranate Nail Lacquer was so kind and sent me one of her hottest new products to giveaway to one lucky reader.  It’s her new Holiday Gift Set!

The Pomegranate Nail Lacquer Holiday Gift Set contains:
– Two full sized Pomegranate Nail Lacquer polishes
– One baby ornament
– A pot of fine glitter

I chose two of my favorite polishes for you: Improv Show and Autemnesque.  They are gorgeous shades for the winter and even for the spring, summer, and fall.

I am so excited to be able to give out such a wonderful gift for the holidays.  Thank you Tina!

In order to enter, follow the Rafflecopter link below.  I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Rafflecopter widget!  You have one week from today to enter the giveaway!  I will try to send it out in time for Christmas, but I’m not completely knowledgeable about delivery dates and such around the holidays.  If it doesn’t make it to you by then, then it will be a bonus after Christmas gift before New Years!

Candy Coated: My First Pretty and Polished Purchase

Since the beginning of my nail polish journey (that might be an exaggeration), I have been hearing about Pretty and Polished.  Chelsea Marie is a genius with her unique polish creations that she sells on Etsy (and I believe a few other places too, but I’m not sure exactly).  I have been lemming for one of her polishes for the longest time, and what made it even worse is that she only opens her Etsy Shop once every few weeks and her polishes sell out extremely quickly.  I started checking her website every so often, and finally I saw that she was opening her shop…on a day and time that I would be in class.  Nothing was going to get in my way!  At the exact time her shop opened, I ran out of class and into the bathroom where I hid for about ten minutes and shopped on my iPhone!  I went back and forth between buying one full size polish or two mini sized polishes, and I finally decided on two mini sized.  This way I would get more variety for about the same price, and I figured it would take me forever to get through a full sized bottle so a mini would be just fine.  I just received my little babies in the mail on Saturday and even though I just painted my nails four days ago, I took it off and tried one of them out.

The first Pretty and Polished polish I want to show you is called Candy Coated!  It is so adorable and sweet, and I kind of want to eat it because it looks like a sparkly jawbreaker.

It has a light-pink jelly-like base with pink and purple hex glitters and pink and purple little glitters!  I’ve seen online that it is almost opaque in 2-3 coats depending on how thick you make them, but I used a light pink base from the Gap outlet just so I could have more opacity without wasting my Candy Coated.

I am in love with this adorable little polish!  It’s light and glittery and perfect for fall.  I almost purchased Cheer Camp instead, but I’m very happy with my decision (even though I’d love to have that one as well).  I could stare at it forever, especially because pink are purple are like my two favorite colors.  And ever since painting my nails this color, I’ve been obsessed with pink!  I even made all of the time sheets at my work pink (oops).  🙂

Have you purchased any Pretty and Polished polishes?  If not, which ones are you lemming for?
I still have one other to show you that I’m really excited for, but I’m going to wear Candy Coated for as long as I can!

P.S.  The Pretty and Polished Etsy shop isn’t open at the moment, but if you do a quick internet search for “Pretty and Polished swatches” you can stare at them all and fall in love like I did.
